Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror. Just keep going. No feeling is final.
EQ NOTE
A feeling can fill the entire room while we are inside it. Fear can make the future seem closed; grief can make the past feel impossibly near. Rilke’s words offer a quieter kind of hope: not that the feeling is wrong, but that it is moving. No feeling is final. We can respect what is here without turning it into a forecast. Time changes our relationship to even the emotions that once seemed permanent.
What feeling might become easier to hold if you stopped asking it to predict the future?
