Shakespeare’s candle is small, but the darkness around it makes its reach visible. Kindness often works that way. We may dismiss an act because it does not solve the larger problem, yet relief does not have to be complete to be real. A good deed can change the atmosphere of one moment, and that moment is part of someone’s life. Scale is not the same thing as significance.
